The New York Workers' Compensation Board has delayed the effective date of its formulary requirements on drug refills until June 7.
The board last month said the deadline for refill compliance with the formulary had been delayed thanks to issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it gave no effective date. This week, the board said in a bulletin that, starting June 7, all refills or renewals of prescriptions must be for drug formulary medications only unless authorized by an insurer.
