Custodian Accused of Exaggerating Extent of Injuries

A custodian for a Southern California school district will be arraigned on May 11 on two felony counts of insurance fraud for allegedly submitting a fraudulent workers' compensation claim that netted him $11,489, the state Insurance Department said Monday.   Detectives arrested 42-year-old Timothy Lowes of Corona on April 20, the department said. He is now free on $30,000 bail. Lowes claimed he suffered an injury to his right shoulder and elbow while working for the Baldwin Park Unified School District.
