DWC Adopts Designated Doctor Performance Review Procedures

Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation on Wednesday announced new designated doctor review procedures, which took effect immediately. The commission is required to review the quality of designated doctor decisions and may deny renewal of a doctor's certification based on the “integrity” of the decisions, the commission said.  The DWC announced the performance review procedure in February and accepted public comment.
