DWC Adjusts Schedule for Pathology and Lab Fees

The Division of Workers' Compensation announced it is adjusting the pathology and laboratory fee portions of the Official Medical Fee Schedule to conform to changes in the Medicare payment system adopted for 2011.An Aug. 2 order from the newly-appointed Administrative Director Rosa Moran says the maximum reasonable fees for pathology and lab services rendered on or after Aug. 1 shall not exceed 120% of the applicable California fees in the 2011 Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule published by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.The division's order says services not covere...
