OSHA Cites Roofing Company for Fall Hazards

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing $44,600 in penalties against an Illinois roofing company for exposing workers to fall hazards.OSHA said it issued citations for two safety violations to Rogers Roofing Inc. in Hammond, Ill. The company has been cited six times in the past six years for similar violations."Falls remain the leading cause of death in the construction industry," stated Kathy Webb, OSHA's area director in Calumet City, Ill.
