A Holland roofing contractor faces proposed penalties totaling $91,629 for exposing workers to falls and other safety hazards, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration says.
OSHA inspectors on Oct. 26 observed five roofers for contractor Casey Bortles working at a Waterville residential site at heights greater than 8 feet without adequate fall protection, while other workers used nail guns without wearing eye protection.
Bortles has been cited for similar violations four times since 2014, according to a press release.
