The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board on Monday laid out a three-part plan to implement electronic medical billing, which will be mandatory for all medical providers by Jan. 1, 2020.
The plan adds operational details to the board’s efforts to improve medical care for injured workers, which includes higher fees and initiatives to reduce paperwork, that were announced on April 17 in Subject No. 046-1058.
