Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appointed Sean Egan, who oversees the Workers’ Disability Compensation Agency and the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration, to serve as director of COVID-19 workplace safety.
Egan is deputy director for labor at the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. In addition to overseeing the state’s workers’ compensation and workplace safety programs, he directs the Bureau of Employment Relations and the Wage and Hour Division.
