The physician in charge of updating Louisiana’s chronic pain-management guidelines hopes the final product will be not only more user-friendly, but also easier to read.
Dr. Roy Lee, associate medical director for the Office of Workers’ Compensation Administration, said Monday that a subcommittee of the Medical Advisory Council is working on the chronic-pain section of the state's medical treatment guidelines. That effort will continue well into next year, along with changes to the cervical spine and low-back pain guidelines.
