Roofing Company Hit with $87,010 in Fines after 2 Inspections

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued Zamastil Exteriors, a roofing company in Wonder Lake, Ill., seven safety citations, with fines totaling $87,010, following two separate inspections in July and in October 2012.The alleged violations include failing to provide and ensure workers use proper fall protection while performing roof work on a multicomplex apartment building, OSHA said.OSHA issued one repeat citation, with a fine of $10,780, related to the July inspection for allegedly failing to provide fall protection.
