The National Council on Compensation Insurance has recommended a 4.6% decrease in workers’ compensation costs, effective Oct. 1.
If approved by the state Department of Insurance, it would be the 12th straight decrease for a cumulative cost savings of nearly 60% in the voluntary market.
NCCI’s recommended rate decrease filing cites a 6% decrease in experience during 2014 and 2015.
