Starting this fall, New Jersey workers attacked by inmates in the prison system will no longer need to wait until their workers' compensation benefits take effect to collect lost-time pay. A bill sponsored by a coalition of Democrats lays out the specifics of the compensation program, which takes effect in October. Gov.
