Alleged Dust Hazards Bring 7 Citations, $137,250 in Fines

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued seven citations with fines totaling $137,250 to Endres Processing of Kansas City, Kan., for alleged combustible dust hazards following an inspection.OSHA said its inspection of the Endres facility resulted in three willful and four serious citations.The willful citations involve alleged inappropriate location of an air material separator that lacked explosion venting, an inadequate housekeeping program and allowing combustible dusts to collect at depths greater than one-eighth of an inch.
