The Maine State Legislature must overturn a costly court decision on workers' compensation cases for the good of the state's economy, according to the American Insurance Association (AIA).
In February, the State Supreme Court ruled in Kotch vs. American Protective Services that non-job-related injuries may be stacked with work-related injuries to determine whether a worker is eligible for lifetime workers' compensation benefits.
