A Palm Beach police officer will receive a workers’ compensation settlement of $25,000 for all claims against the town of Palm Beach stemming from a 2013 motorcycle crash he was involved in on the job, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.
Officer Samuel Riley had received a $100,000 settlement from the insurance company of the other driver in the crash, but the town’s insurance adjuster had placed a $100,000 lien on that settlement.
