The Industrial Commission of Arizona said it did not authorize the use of its name or its official seal on letters circulating throughout the state that purport to be offers of employment.
One person who contacted the commission after receiving such a letter said he was asked to sign the document and return it with a check for $424.
Copies of two letters the ICA posted to its website show its seal in the upper right hand side of the page, with "U.S. Attorney's Office District of Arizona" printed on the top left side of the page.
