SWCB Rescinds IME Authorization

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) has rescinded the authorization of Dr. Michael Palmeri to perform independent medical examinations on injured workers.SWCB Chairman Robert Beloten said Palmeri's authorization was suspended indefinitely, effective last Friday.Reports submitted by Palmeri prior to June 8 are valid but are invalid for any services rendered on or after that date, Beloten said in a regulatory notice.Questions can be directed to SWCB's Office of Health Provider Administration at 800-781-2362.The announcement is here.Source: SWCBbody {background: #FFF...
