Comp Claims Surface in Investigation of Former Bell Officials

A grand jury indictment adding eight new charges in the corruption case against former Bell City Administrator Robert Rizzo and seven former city officials returned Tuesday afternoon, states that Rizzo and former Assistant City Manager Angela Spaccia filed workers’ compensation claims as they were being removed from office.The indictment says Rizzo filed a claim on July 23, 2010, and Spaccia filed her claim July 27, 2010.
