The New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller said in a follow-up report that the Division of Risk Management failed to implement work comp claims processing recommendations intended to reduce fraud, waste and abuse.
The comptroller in a July 9, 2020, audit report concluded with seven recommendations to shore up claims handling practices. In a follow-up report released Tuesday, the comptroller said the division partially complied with four recommendations and did not implement three others.
