Oregon’s Workers’ Compensation Board will continue its discussion of attorney fees during a Dec. 17 meeting in Salem.
The board will review draft attorney fee regulations and potentially approve the rules during the meeting.
In July, the board’s attorney fee advisory committee voted to propose allowing claimants’ attorneys to bifurcate the assessed fee issue when their clients prevail. The amount of the fee would be determined during a separate proceeding after compensability is decided with a final judgment, under the proposal.
