The amount that federal government programs are spending on compounded drugs is soaring, according to two recent reports, including one that shows the consequences of not having any controls on compounded medications in workers’ compensation.
Inspectors general offices took a look at spending on compounds for Medicare Part D beneficiaries, and in a separate report, for workers’ comp claimants employed by the U.S. Postal Service.
