Chesapeake Employers Insurance Co. announced that Mark Isakson will succeed Thomas Phelan as the carrier’s new chief executive officer, effective April 3.
Isakson previously served as senior vice president and chief customer officer at Colorado’s Pinnacol Assurance, where his 20-year career included workers’ compensation underwriting, business planning and corporate strategic development.
He was selected for the CEO position at Chesapeake Employers following a national search that began last fall when Phelan announced his retirement.
