Appellate Court Clarifies Calculation of Interest on Unpaid Judgments

The Illinois Appellate Court clarified that interest accrues on unpaid judgments without exception, including money that has been escrowed because it is subject to a lien. Frank Barnai sued Wal-Mart Stores Inc., International Contractors Inc. and Nuline Technologies Inc. after he was injured while working at a store construction site in 2007.
