Appropriations Committee to Hear Bill Making Several Modifications to Comp Law

A bill modifying several provisions of Florida's workers' compensation law is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday. Senate Bill 1582, by Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Orange Park, would:  Require carriers to authorize or decline providers' requests for authorization within three business days. Currently, statute requires carriers to "respond" within three business days.
