New Rules Issued for Special Funds Group Claims

Insurers and self-insured employers have until the end of Friday to provide the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board’s Special Funds Group with a designated contact. Those stakeholders remain responsible for all §§ 14(6) and 15(8) claims, and as part of its oversight role, the Special Funds Group will review the designated insurer or self-insured employer’s handling of these claims, the agency says in a bulletin, Subject No. 046-919.
