New Provider Rates Would Raise Costs by $80 Million, NCCI Estimates

Proposed new reimbursement rates for hospital inpatient and outpatient services would raise costs in the Florida workers’ compensation system by an estimated $80 million, the National Council on Compensation Insurance says. Increased rates for ambulatory surgical centers would add another $22 million in system costs if new rates are passed during the upcoming legislative session.
