WCB Seeks Comments on Third-Party Election Rules

Oregon’s Workers’ Compensation Board is seeking comments as part of a regularly scheduled review process on rules governing the process by which a payer can request that an injured worker pursue damages from a noncomplying employer or third party. The board said it wants to hear from system users about OAR 438-011-0055. Specific questions the board is asking include whether the rule has achieved its intended effect and whether there is a continued need for the regulation.
