Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an international insurance brokerage, has acquired a property and casualty broker's office in Minnesota.
AJG has purchased James R. Weir Insurance Agency in Mankato, according to a Thursday press release. Weir, like AJG, brokers commercial insurance, including workers' compensation coverage.
J. Patrick Gallagher, chairman, president and chief executive officer of AJG, said the move will help the company to expand its presence in the Midwest.
