BWC to Consider Rules on Electronic Medical Billing

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation is looking into establishing rules on electronic medical billing, according to a rule-making notice published this month.  A hearing will be held Aug. 8 on the potential inclusion of a new chapter in Tennessee's official rules called "Electronic Medical Billing for Workers' Compensation."  The chapter, to be numbered 0800-02-26, would include sections on the rules' purpose and definitions, plus sections setting regulations for electronic medical bill processing formats, billing code sets, reimbursement and docu...
