Average Set-Aside Fell Slightly in 2024

The average Medicare set-aside recommended by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid’s Workers’ Compensation Review Contractor decreased slightly in the most recent fiscal year. CMS said the average set-aside recommendation in the fiscal year that ended in June was $85,927.43, about 0.6% less than the $86,452.67 average set-aside in the 2023 fiscal year.
