Nebraska lawmakers have sent to the governor a bill that would make post-traumatic stress disorder a compensable condition for first responders. The unicameral Legislature voted 45-0 Tuesday to approve LB 963, which would make mental-mental conditions eligible for medical treatment and time-off-work benefits. The vote came six months after the bill was introduced because the legislative session was suspended in the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.
