The National Council on Compensation Insurance is recommending a 5.6% decrease in the voluntary market loss-cost level for Louisiana, to take effect in May 2019.
The filing, made this week, follows a 0.4% increase last year and a 9.8% decrease in 2016. This year's recommended decrease is based on policy years 2015 and 2016 and reflects a trend toward declining claims frequency that began in 2010, the filing's executive summary explained.
