The Friedlander Group Inc., group manager for Retail Group of New York Workers’ Compensation Safety Group #544, paid a 35% dividend to members with policies effective during the 12 months ending March 1, 2015.
According to a news release, 870 members will receive dividends. NYS Insurance Fund, which underwrites the group, will mail checks on Dec. 29.
The dividend is in addition to an advance premium discount of up to 20%, the company said. The combination of discounts and dividends means that a member with a standard premium of $10,000 paid a premium of only $5,200.
