Transatlantic Reports $144M Loss in Third Quarter

Transatlantic Holdings Inc. reported that its net loss for the third quarter of 2005 amounted to $144.2 million, or $2.19 per common diluted share, compared to a net loss of $21.8 million, or 33 cents per diluted common share in the same prior year quarter.
