Derderians Not Personally Liable for $1M Fine

The Derderian brothers are not personally liable for the more-than-$1-million penalty imposed against The Station nightclub for failure to carry workers' compensation insurance, a Rhode Island labor department hearing officer ruled Friday. As a consequence, the state may never see collection on the penalty since the only asset of the Derderians' company, Derco LLC, was the nightclub itself, according to court documents.
