Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Monday led the signature gathering effort to
place the Workers' Compensation Reform and Accountability Initiative on the ballot in November,
signing up voters at a local Costco store and reiterating his pledge to "do all that I can to help" as the
Friday deadline to submit signatures rapidly approaches.
"The timing is critical. If we can't reach agreement with the Legislature by April 16 we must
be prepared for the ballot - period," the Governor wrote last week in a letter to initiative proponents
