Rules on Independent Contractors Proposed

The Oregon Workers' Compensation Division (WCD) and four other agencies have proposed adopting rules defining and dealing with independent contractors, with hearings set for Sept. 15 and 22. DWC noted that Senate Bill 323 by the 2005 Legislature, directs several state agencies to work together to provide consistent application of laws affecting independent contractors.
