New Receiver Director Appointed for Transit Casual

Brian Long, Missouri's state budget director, will take over daily operations of the Transit Casualty Co. receivership Sept. 3, Department of Insurance (MDI) Director Scott B. Lakin said yesterday. Long, 42, will oversee the transfer of Transit's main offices from Southern California to Missouri and then the final phase of its business operations as the insurance receivership's chief operating officer.
