The New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) announced Wednesday it has lifted a stop-work order imposed on Georgia-based DEC Management following an Oct. 3 construction death in Niagara Falls.
SWCB said board compliance offers shut down the Georgia contractor's job site last week, after one worker was killed and another injured in an Oct. 3 accident. DEC President Michael Thomas was operating the firm in New York without a workers' compensation policy, the agency said.
