Professional employer organizations hope to end a long debate with Wisconsin insurance regulators over the proper way to issue workers' compensation policies during a Dec. 6 meeting of the Advisory Council on Workers' Compensation.
Proposals to adopt medical treatment guidelines and increase benefits for totally disabled workers are also on the employer-labor panel's agenda. The advisory council is meeting in Madison, but deliberations will be teleconferenced at five other locations around the state to aid public participation.
