PCI Applauds Florida Reform Bill

The Property Casualty Insurance Association of America said Florida lawmakers "took another important step" toward improving the state's civil justice system by repealing the doctrine of joint and several liability. House Bill 145 removes exceptions in Florida law permitting "joint and several liability" rather than proportional liability based on percentage of fault.
