The National Council on Compensation Insurance today recommended a 16.5% overall decrease in rates next year for Florida.
NCCI said that lowered claim frequency coupled with wage growth is expected to offset medical inflation in the state's workers' compensation system.
This is the fifth consecutive rate reduction recommended since Florida enacted reforms in 2003, NCCI noted in its filing.
WorkCompCentral will have a complete report on the rate filing in the Monday report.
