Maryland Poised to Give Pay Raise to Surgeons

The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission today will hear a committee's recommendation to increase fees for orthopedic and neurological surgeons, who have been threatening to abandon the system ever since the state adopted a Medicare-based fee schedule last year.
