American Physicians Capital, Inc. (APCapital) (Nasdaq: ACAP) yesterday reported net loss for 2001 of $(43.8) million, $(3.95) per diluted share, compared with net income for 2000 totaling $11.9 million, $1.03 per diluted share. The 2001 fourth quarter net loss was $(16.5) million, $(1.58) per diluted share, compared with 2000 fourth quarter net income of $3.2 million, $0.27 per diluted share.
