Delphi 4Q Net Income $26.8M, 300% From Last Year

Delphi Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: DFG) yesterday announced that net income in the fourth quarter of 2003 was $26.8 million, or $0.83 per share, compared with net income in the fourth quarter of 2002 of $8.8 million, or $0.27 per share. Net income in the 2003 fourth quarter included after-tax net realized investment gains of $3.2 million, or $0.10 per share, compared with after-tax realized investment losses of $11.7 million, or $0.37 per share, in the 2002 fourth quarter.
