Puerto Rico Joins NAIC's Interstate Compact

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners announced this week that Puerto Rico has become the 20th jurisdiction to join its Interstate Compact. Governor Anibal Acevedo Vila signed the Interstate Compact on December 22, NAIC said in a press release. With nine other states joining the compact in 2005, the goal of 26 states or states with 40% of the premium volume is well within reach this year, NAIC said.
