Commissioner's Award Given to Tenn. Builder

J&S Construction Co. in Cookeville, Tenn., last week became just the third building contractor in recent years to receive a Commissioner's Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety. Tennessee Deputy Commissioner Bob Henningsen presented the award to J&S Construction Tuesday at the company's facility at 1080 S. Willow Ave. J&S Construction is a general contractor in the mid-state area. Since June 2003, the company has worked more than 225,000 man hours without a lost-time injury or illness.
