Pending Privacy Bills in CA Cause Concern

There are three bills pending before California lawmakers that would impose stricter privacy regulations than required under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. According to A.M. Best, the insurance industry is opposing the three privacy bills primarily because it would make it more difficult to market to consumers of insurance products.
