The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin reported Wednesday that while funding for Illinois courts and judicial pay will remain flat next year, the Illinois Industrial Commission is going to get eight new arbitrators.Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich released his new budget Wednesday, which proposes a spending freeze on courts and other judicial agencies.Part of that budget include fees that insurance companies and self-insured employers would be required to pay the state on work comp awards, equal to 1.5 percent of benefits.
