Delphi Reports 25% Net Gain/Share First Quarter

Delphi Financial Group, Inc. announced Tuesday that net income in the first quarter of 2004 was $30.6 million, or $0.94 per share, which included realized investment gains of $3.4 million, or $0.11 per share. This compared with net income in the first quarter of 2003 of $22.5 million, or $0.71 per share, which included realized investment gains of $0.8 million, or $0.03 per share.
